Rather, they know your reputation: refined, smartly accoutred, well-read, a wonderful storyteller; the one who left land and luxury, who left a life of leisure, to sail the Seven Seas in search of beauty, adventure, and — with any luck — true love. <3

The Game
In this writing-focused RPG, you are the titular Gentleman Pirate, a personage of means who weighed anchor for a life of seafaring, swashbuckling, and soul-searching. 

A natural raconteur, you compose 13-line poems to immortalize your life asea — plus, an optional Boswell Mode lets you throw shade with abandon as you embody your Pirate's sassy, brassy personal scribe. 

• A step-through character generator helps you divine your Gentleman Pirate's special #aesthetic. Tips for writing in character help you embody your Pirate even further.
• Card draws guide the content of each line so you can tell your Pirate's tale in glittering, heartfelt verse.
• An optional Boswell Mode brings the snark: become your Pirate's on-board biographer and add cheeky annotations, directed by additional card draws.
• Dice rolls determine poetic device add-ons to further shape the experience and ratchet the difficulty (rules included in the original Gentleman Bandit game). 
• Rules for multiplayer versions — inspired by the Exquisite Corpse style of group poetry writing — are included in the original game for both in-room and online settings.
